Single rotor shredder - Promeco KR

The single rotor shredders PROMECO series "KR" represent the development of a design that used to be very popular in the German-speaking markets in the mid-90s, that has been acquired by various world leading companies.
Afterward PROMECO has improved the original design in all its most relevant aspects.

Operations

The single rotor shredders PROMECO KR achieve size reduction through a streamlined process of pure shear, due to the lower position of the plane of the pusher in relation to the axis of the rotor. This configuration guarantees excellent results in terms of productivity, with a low power consumption.
Rotor design ensures a higher inertia and guarantees durability. The cutting chamber, built with thick walled (up to 50 mm) welded steel plating, guarantees the remarkably robustness of the machine.
The high-resistance steel knives are bolt and provided with a pad for shock absorption.

The material is introduced into the grinding chamber through a large loading hopper and then forced by a hydraulic pusher against the rotor – stator, remaining in the cutting chamber until it reaches a size small enough to be expelled through the grate, mounted on the bottom of the chamber.
The grate can be removed for maintenance with ease, through a special shoe.

Process is controlled by a PLC; control software is specifically designed and configured according to the type of material to be treated.

PROMECO series "KR" shredders can answer the more diverse customer needs, both in terms of production capacity than in terms of  materials to process.
