Lignocellulosic materials such as straw, wheat and corn cultivation waste are mechanically reduced into fibers by means of the Promeco Bioextruder, to increase their surface area accessible to bacteria. Excellent pre-treatment before anaerobic digestion to destroy the lignocellulosic structure and to release the sugar contained in the biomass.

Advantages of treatment with Promeco Bioextruder
Yield increase over untreated maize silage by over 40% (based on 12 day retention time) - Study conducted at the University of Linköping in Sweden.
To produce 1 MWd  of electricity, 18,000 tons/year of extruded corn is sufficient, as opposed to 25,000 tons/year of untreated silage.
